Dyslexia and Dyscalculia Screenings and Assessments​

If you have concerns about Dyslexia or Dyscalculia for yourself or your child, it can be very frustrating, and answers can be difficult to find. Dyslexia is an inherited condition that makes it extremely difficult to read, write, and spell in your native language—despite average to above average intelligence. Dyscalculia is an inherited condition that makes it difficult to do math. Research has shown that Dyslexia and/or Dyscalculia affect 1 out of every 5 children in the United States.  ETS offers brief Dyslexia or Dyscalculia screens to determine if further testing is needed in Reading/Spelling/Writing or Math for $100.  A combined brief screening including Reading/Spelling/Writing/Math can be completed for $120. A comprehensive Dyslexia (Reading/Spelling/Writing) or Dyscalculia (Math) Assessment including an in-depth written report and up to 2 hour consultation with parents costs $550.  A combined comprehensive assessment (Reading/Spelling/Writing/Math) costs $675. (Please note, ETS does not bill Medicaid or private medical insurance for any dyslexia or dyscalculia services. Families are welcome to contact their medical insurance company to ask if they can submit the claims themselves, but historically, medical insurance has not paid for services related to dyslexia or dyscalculia.)
